Chrysanthemums, with their diverse colors and resilient nature, symbolize the beauty and strength of women in recovery. Like the flowers, these women come from various backgrounds, yet they grow and transform together, supporting each other through challenges just as chrysanthemums thrive in adverse conditions. The camaraderie among these women mirrors the love and solidarity often associated with chrysanthemums, making them a powerful symbol of collective resilience and empowerment.
In March 2023, ChrysantheMoms grew from a shared vision among a small group of women and children who've experienced the effects of addiction and the transformative power of recovery. Inspired by the metaphor of gardening, they saw an opportunity to cultivate hope and support in their community. By leveraging their lived experiences, they plant the seeds of resilience and empowerment, nurturing growth and renewal for women and children facing similar challenges.
A YEAR OF IMPACT AND SUCCESS
By November 2024, ChrysantheMoms has spread through the community like wildflowers by providing services to over 100 families through our Family Recovery Court, Truancy Reduction Program, peer support and providing basic needs. The Lily House has supported 15 women and is home to 6 women and 13 children who are living or in the reunification process with their mother.
As we look ahead, we are committed to expanding our programs, embracing innovation, and fostering partnerships that empower individuals, strengthen families and build resilient communities. Together, we will continue to sow the seeds of positive change, cultivating a brighter tomorrow for all.
